A bunch of free tickets to the amusement park: youre not sure if you should feel lucky or doomed.
The amusement park was on the edge of town, right next to the woods. Half the attractions were posted OUT OF ORDER and the other half should have been. You remember coming here as a kid, and you remember it closing after a little girl disappeared. All they ever found was one red ribbon in the woods. The park reopened a few years later but it might as well have stayed shut. Hardly anybody went there anymore.
Adding insult to injury, it starts pouring. To escape the rain, you go into the tent where the freak show is being held. The shows the worst part of the whole park. You decide to treat the show as the joke it is and just laugh your way through the entire thing. Its terrible, so your happiest moment is when they announce that its time for the grand finale. The show is headed by a creepy clown called Happy Jack. He needs some volunteers: you and your friends are invited to help Happy Jack with his act. After a dull intro, you discover youre going to be part of a magic trick. Youre put in a cage and a large cloth leaves you and your friends in the dark. Smoke billows around you and you feel the cage moving backwards out of the theater on some rail device.
So far its been creepy, but all in fun. That suddenly changes when the cloth is pulled from the cage. Happy Jack is staring you straight in the face. He starts laughing loudly, and hes playing with a large knife. The cage is in the clowns dressing room and you realize youre in serious trouble. Happy Jack smiles and says, 'How dare you make fun of my show? Your laughter ends tonight!'
At that moment theres a knock on the dressing room door: 'Jack, the shows starting.' Jack looks at you and just smiles. 'Ill see you later. Bye for now, my friends, enjoy the time you have left together.' Happy Jack gives his pet monkey a cracker as he shouts 'shut up Sam' to himself on his way out. The show lasts an hour, though it seems much longer. Theres no way in hell you want to be in his dressing room when he comes back, especially when you spot a little red ribbon nailed to the wall '¦
